Fire Engineer

A leading UK-based consultancy is looking for a Fire Engineer to deliver fire safety solutions across a varied portfolio that includes both public and private sector developments. This role offers the Fire Engineer the chance to work on everything from large-scale commercial and infrastructure schemes to confidential, high-security government and defence projects-making it a rare and exciting opportunity for those seeking technical depth and project variety.

The Fire Engineer will be involved in producing fire strategies, offering design-stage guidance, and ensuring compliance across a wide range of complex buildings and infrastructure. Projects span transport, education, healthcare, mixed-use developments, and secure environments that require government clearance.

You'll work with in a national team of specialists, collaborating across disciplines to deliver safe, innovative, and compliant fire safety solutions. The position involves full lifecycle support-from early concept through to delivery-on projects where your input genuinely shapes the built environment.

• Minimum 2 years  experience in a UK fire safety consultancy
• Comfortable producing fire strategy reports and advising design teams
• In-depth knowledge of current codes (BS 9999, BS 7974, ADB, etc.)
• Degree in Fire Engineering, Building Services, or a related field
• Progressing toward or interested in MIFireE or CEng status
• Must be eligible for advanced UK security clearance (5 years  continuous UK residency required)

• £45,000 - £60,000 salary depending on experience
