The Electrical Shift Engineer role offers a continental rotating 12‑hour shift schedule, with hours of 07:00 – 19:00 for day shifts and 19:00 – 07:00 for night shifts. The pattern is 4 days on, 6 off, 4 nights on, 4 days off, 3 days on & 3 nights on, 4 days off, and so on. Together with 20 days holiday per year, it provides an excellent work‑life balance.
Responsibilitiesof the Electrical Shift Engineer
- Planned Preventative Maintenance of all HVAC plant
- Executing electrical and electrical PPMs
- Ensuring statutory building compliance
- Investigating and reporting on BMS system issues
- Conducting daily checks on plant and equipment and reporting back to management
- Attending call‑outs for emergency breakdowns on other buildings within the contract, when required
- Communicating professionally with all levels and disciplines in a customer‑facing role
- Qualified yet experienced in building services maintenance
- Experience with electrical or electrical skills
- Experience with shift work
- Minor electrical repairs experience
- Experience working on large‑scale building services applications
- Knowledge of BMS systems is an advantage
There is a large engineering and facilities team on site and you would be a key part of the shift team, supporting the technical service team covering the plant for landlord services.
