450 per day (Umbrella - Inside IR35) 6 Month Contract East London (Hybrid)

Ceto Talent is recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer - Rail / Metro for a major renewals and enhancements programme across the London Underground network. This role offers the opportunity to work on station, depot and platform train interface projects within a large, established project team.

What We're Looking For

The ideal Electrical Design Engineer - Rail / Metro will bring:

• Extensive experience in LV electrical design and assurance within rail or metro environments
• Essential:
  Experience with Prodesign (Amtech) and Dialux Evo software
• Essential:
  Experience of London Underground electrical infrastructure, standards and processes
• Proven track record carrying out electrical designs, reviewing designs and assuring works on site
• Experience working on station and depot renewals, fleet enabling or platform train interface projects
• Sentinel WSI (formally known as ICI LU) certification
• Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills

About the Role

This Electrical Design Engineer - Rail / Metro contract is for an LV electrical design and assurance engineer working on London Underground renewals and enhancements. You'll carry out designs, review designs and assure works on site for station and depot renewals, fleet enabling and platform train interface projects across the LU network.

Key Responsibilities

As Electrical Design Engineer - Rail / Metro, you will:

• Carry out LV electrical design for station and depot renewals and enhancements
• Review electrical designs to ensure compliance with London Underground standards and processes
• Assure electrical works on site for fleet enabling and platform train interface projects
• Utilise Prodesign (Amtech) and Dialux Evo for electrical design and lighting calculations
• Support the APCD electrical team on multiple upgrade locations across the LU network
• Attend site on an ad-hoc basis to support project delivery
• Ensure all designs meet safety, quality and technical requirements
