Senior Flood Risk & Hydraulic Modelling Consultant | Leeds or London (Hybrid)

Are you an experienced flood risk professional looking to work on meaningful projects across development, infrastructure and renewables — without sacrificing flexibility or progression?

We’re hiring a Senior Flood Risk & Hydraulic Modelling Consultant to join a growing environmental consultancy team. You’ll play a key role delivering fluvial and pluvial modelling, Flood Risk Assessments and technical advice to support developments from early strategy through to planning and delivery.

What you’ll be doing:

• Building and reviewing hydraulic models (Flood Modeller Pro / TUFLOW)
• Undertaking hydrological assessments and flood risk analysis
• Identifying flood constraints and mitigation opportunities
• Supporting planning applications with high-quality technical reports
• Liaising with clients, regulators and internal teams

What we’re looking for:

• 4+ years’ experience in flood risk and hydraulic modelling
• Strong knowledge of UK flood risk policy and planning (e.g. NPPF)
• Confident interpreting and communicating model results
• Experience with the Environment Agency review process
• Good report writing and stakeholder communication skills
• GIS / AutoCAD experience desirable
