Purpose of the Job
• To deliver electrical maintenance and reactive support across a large-scale site operating on a 24/7 shift pattern.
• To ensure the safe and efficient operation of electrical and associated mechanical plant, including AHUs, generators, and LV/HV systems.
• To participate fully in a shift team, supporting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks.
• To maintain site uptime and compliance with all statutory and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Work as part of a 10-person shift team on a 4 on / 4 off, days & nights rota (07:00 – 19:00).
• Carry out reactive maintenance and fault-finding across the site, responding promptly to system failures.
• Perform PPMs on electrical plant and mechanical systems, including AHUs and generators.
• Undertake training on LV and HV systems to support ongoing competence and operational capability.
• Accurately complete maintenance logs, reports, and compliance documentation.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, safety checks, and operational handovers.
• Work overtime as required to support operational needs.
• Take part in ongoing training and development for career progression.
Personal Experience / Qualifications / Skills
• Strong electrical background with experience in industrial, commercial, or critical site environments.
• Familiarity with AHUs, generators, LV/HV systems preferred.
• Previous experience working on shift patterns in reactive or high-demand sites is highly desirable.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently during shifts.
• Commitment to H&S standards and operational compliance.
Working Hours & Benefits
• 4 on / 4 off days & nights, 07:00 – 19:00
• Salary: £45,000 per annum
• 20 days shift leave

Accountabilities
• Accountable to the Shift Supervisor / Engineering Manager.
• Responsible for safe and efficient operation of electrical and mechanical systems on site.
• No direct line management responsibility.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, site procedures, and company policies
