• Interpret client specification requirements in the development of designs
• Design pipework including heating, cooling, hot and cold water systems
• Design ventilation systems including general ventilation systems
• Select plant and equipment items based upon designs produced including but not limited to Air Handling Units, Fans, Pumps, Pressurisation Units, Boilers, Heat emitters, Chillers, Ductwork and ancillary pipework

• Experience of mechanical design in the Rail environment
• Qualifications meeting the requirements for Chartership with a UK Engineering Institution
• Working knowledge of above ground plumbing and waste systems, rainwater disposal systems, drainage systems, Network Rail and/or London Underground standards, and design of controls/BMS for mechanical systems
