Year 1 Class Teacher
Protocol Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Westminster, who are seeking a passionate KS1 Teacher to take on a Year 1 class.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and committed teacher who understands the importance of strong foundations in Key Stage 1 and can bring learning to life in a nurturing, engaging classroom.
About the RoleYou will take full responsibility for a vibrant Year 1 class, delivering high-quality, inclusive lessons that support pupils as they transition from EYFS into more structured learning. The school values curiosity, creativity and high expectations, and you will play a key role in developing confident, independent learners.
This role is suitable for experienced teachers and confident ECTs who are eager to grow within a supportive KS1 team.
What We’re Looking For- Qualified Teacher Status, QTS
- Recent experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1
- Strong understanding of phonics and early reading development
- Confident with planning, assessment and differentiation
- A nurturing, positive classroom presence
- Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
