We're recruiting for a specialist Secondary PRU provision supporting students aged 11-16 who require additional behavioural, emotional, and social support.
Many of the young people benefit hugely from strong, calm, and consistent male role models — someone who can build trust, set boundaries, and support them to re-engage with education.
🏫 About the Setting- Specialist alternative provision for secondary-aged students
- Small class sizes with high staff-to-student ratios
- Structured behaviour frameworks and clear routines
- Strong pastoral and therapeutic support
- Focus on re‑engagement, life skills, and emotional development
- Vocational and practical learning opportunities

🌱 Training & Support From Day One- Full induction and behaviour training

💼 The Role- Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups
- Acting as a consistent, positive male role model
- Supporting emotional regulation and behaviour strategies
- De‑escalating challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Encouraging engagement in lessons and vocational activities
- Promoting accountability, respect, and independence
- Supporting during transitions, break times, and off‑site activities
This role requires confidence, resilience, and emotional intelligence.
You will build real relationships — and see real change.
👤 Who This Role Is Ideal ForYou do not need previous school experience.
However, you must have:
- Strong presence and calm authority
- Emotional resilience
- Confidence managing behaviour
- A genuine interest in supporting vulnerable young people
- The ability to set firm but fair boundaries
- Youth work
- Sports coaching
- Mentoring
- Behaviour support
- Care or support work
are highly valued.
