Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, both in and out of class
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Help implement behaviour support plans and therapeutic strategies
  • Assist with daily routines and transitions to promote consistency and security
  • Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams
  • Encourage emotional resilience, self-esteem, and positive social skills
What We're Looking For

We're seeking compassionate and proactive individuals who can remain calm under pressure and are committed to helping students succeed—both academically and emotionally.

You'll Need
  • A genuine passion for working with young people with SEMH needs
  • Relevant experience working in schools, with SEMH or SEN
  • Patience, emotional intelligence, and strong behaviour management skills
  • The ability to de-escalate situations and offer positive reinforcement
  • Experience working with vulnerable young people (formal or informal) is a plus
  • A background in youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, or care is also highly valued
What You'll Gain
  • Immediate, hands-on experience in a specialist SEMH setting
  • Ongoing guidance from a supportive team
  • A pathway into careers in education, therapy, psychology, youth work, or social care
  • The chance to make a real, lasting difference in a young person's life

We are an ethical, inclusive, and independent education recruitment agency that believes in creating long-term partnerships. From your first day, we'll support your growth and help you build a rewarding career in education.
