We are recruiting for the following position:

§ Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

§ Mainstream primary school

§ London Borough of Ealing

§ Immediate start

§ £100.00 per day pay rate (PAYE)

Our client school is based in the London Borough of Ealing. With over 600 students on roll, they are a three-form entry school Staff at the school work relentlessly to provide an inclusive setting for all students. They have a number of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and you will play a lead role in supporting those children.

What will you be doing in a typical day?

§ Supporting SEND students in accessing the curriculum

§ Supervising SEND students both inside and outside the classroom; assisting with break times, lunch times and trips as well as extra-curricular activities

§ Using positive strategies and good behaviour management to ensure the safety and wellbeing of students

§ Working closely with class teachers and other professionals towards achieving the best outcomes for SEND students

What skills would serve you well in this role?

§ The most important skill is a positive mindset and a passion for supporting SEND students; there will be professional development opportunities available within the role

§ Experience of working with SEND or vulnerable people in a previous role; this could include in schools and also in settings such as healthcare, social care, community or youth work

§ It is essential that you have good emotional intelligence and empathy for SEND students
