Dance Teacher

• 4 days per week (Tuesday Friday)

We are seeking a passionate and creative Dance Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Greenwich. This short-term role is available immediately and runs until June/July, supporting Key Stage 5 Dance students through their exams.

In this Dance Teacher role, you will:

• Deliver engaging and inspiring dance lessons across Key Stage 5 (A-level/BTEC)
• Develop students performance, choreography, and dance appreciation skills
• Lead and support theoretical lessons and coursework in preparation for final exams and submissions.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Performing Arts and contribute to whole-school events

• Experience teaching Dance at Key Stage 5, with both practical and theoretical knowledge of exam criteria
• Creativity, energy, and excellent classroom management skills
• A commitment to promoting the arts and nurturing student confidence

This comprehensive secondary school is based in Greenwich and caters to students aged 11 to 18 and has a specialist deaf provision. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum, where established core subject teaching is supported by a culturally rich arts and sports subjects. The Performing Arts department is highly regarded and plays a central role in school life, offering regular showcases, productions, and enrichment opportunities.

The school features two dance studios and dedicated performance areas, providing excellent facilities for teaching and performing. There is a dedicated and experienced leadership team in place at the school and there are good opportunities for professional development for all staff.
