We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a successful mainstream secondary school in Waltham Forest, East London. This role offers the chance to support learners across a range of abilities, including those with SEN, SEMH and challenging behaviour.

• Support teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4 in mainstream classes
• Provide targeted support for students with SEN, SEMH, and challenging behaviour
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to boost academic progress
• Assist teachers with lesson delivery, classroom activities, and differentiation
• Apply de-escalation and positive behaviour management strategies
• Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and inclusion across the school
• Work closely with teachers and the SEN department to ensure all students make progress

• A degree or strong A-levels (any subject) desirable
• Experience supporting young people (paid or voluntary), ideally in a school setting
• Previous SEN/SEMH experience or knowledge of behaviour management strategies highly beneficial
• A genuine passion for education and student development
• Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to a full academic year in a teaching assistant role
