British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant Required for Outstanding Redbridge School.

Are you passionate about supporting students in a diverse and inclusive school environment? This popular secondary school in Redbridge are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the schools' deaf provision.

• Provide in-class support to students using British Sign Language.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver differentiated learning activities.
• Support students' emotional, social, and academic development.
• Assist with the preparation of teaching materials to ensure accessibility.
• Work closely with the school's SENCO and other support staff to implement tailored educational plans.
• Promote an inclusive learning environment and encourage positive interactions between students.

• Proficiency in British Sign Language (minimum Level 2, Level 3 preferred).
• Experience working with children or young people, preferably within an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
• Understanding of SEN practices and strategies in a school setting.
