Cover Supervisor - Mainstream Secondary School (Hackney)

Pay: £100 - £140 per day (depending on experience)

A vibrant mainstream secondary school in Hackney is seeking an experienced and reliable Cover Supervisor to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong classroom management skills and a solid understanding of school life.

• Deliver pre‑planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher
• Maintain a positive learning environment and ensure students remain on task
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with the school's policies
• Support students in their learning and uphold high expectations of conduct and achievement
• Ensure safeguarding and welfare policies are followed at all times

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or similar classroom‑based role
• Confident in managing behaviour and maintaining classroom control
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to different classes and subjects

• Competitive daily rate: £100 - £140 (dependent on experience)
