Job Title

Part‑time Academic Skills Tutor – Tooting Campus (fixed term until end of July 2026)

We are seeking a part‑time Academic Skills Tutor based at the Tooting Campus (co‑located with St George's Hospital) for a fixed term period until the end of July 2026. The role is part of the Academic Skills team within the Learning Enhancement and Development (LEaD) directorate. The Academic Skills Tutor will work with students, academic and professional services colleagues to develop students' academic skills through in‑person and online tutorials, the City St George's VLE, and group sessions within the curriculum.

Tooting Campus

Schedule:

In‑person provision at least two days per week and ideally an extra Friday per month.

• Deliver academic skills support to students in face‑to‑face and online tutorials.
• Use the VLE and group sessions to facilitate learning.
• Collaborate with academic and professional services colleagues to support student development.

• Post‑graduate teaching qualification.
• Experience delivering academic skills support in FE or HE environment.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and communication skills.
