This Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Behaviour Support role is ideal for someone confident, consistent, and calm under pressure, who understands that behaviour is communication (even when it’s loud).

This full-time Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Behaviour Support position focuses heavily on behaviour management within the classroom, alongside targeted support for pupils with additional needs.

As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Behaviour Support
, you will:

• Support behaviour management within a busy Year 3 classroom
• Work closely with the class teacher to maintain clear routines and expectations
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with EHCPs
• Help pupils stay regulated, focused, and engaged in learning
• Use positive behaviour strategies to de‑escalate and support emotional regulation
• Support learning across Key Stage 2 (experience desirable but not essential)

This Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Behaviour Support role requires resilience, patience, and the confidence to hold boundaries without losing your sense of humour.

• Confident managing challenging behaviour in a primary school setting
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs and EHCPs
• Calm, consistent, and emotionally intelligent
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to commit to a full-time Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Behaviour Support role, Monday to Friday

• Role: Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Behaviour Support
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm, Term Time Only
• Contract: Zero-hour
• Daily rate: £101.40 Daily Rate - Negotiable based on experience
