Lead on raising standards in Science, supporting high quality teaching across KS3 and KS4 to improve outcomes.

About the roleThis role leads the development of high quality teaching in Science across KS3 and KS4. Responsibilities include supporting staff, improving standards, leading CPD, monitoring curriculum delivery and contributing to whole school improvement.
Responsibilities- Lead on improving teaching and learning across Science
- Support staff through coaching, modelling and guidance
- Oversee planning, monitoring and evaluation of KS3 and KS4 provision
- Lead dissemination of best practice and resources
- Support school wide development priorities and action plans
- Chair department meetings and contribute to senior team discussions
- Maintain high visibility across the school day
The ideal candidate would have:
- Strong subject knowledge in Science with expertise in Chemistry
- Experience improving standards in teaching and learning
- Ability to lead professional development for colleagues
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience in monitoring curriculum delivery and student outcomes
- Commitment to raising attainment and supporting staff development
