SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School – King’s Cross – Full-Time – September 2025 Start

*** Minimum 1 year of experience working in a school required
Are you a patient, enthusiastic, and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs?
A welcoming and inclusive primary school based in King’s Cross is seeking a dedicated full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from September 2025. The school is a mainstream school catering to children with a variety of SEN needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health).
Your Role Will Include:
* Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small group interventions
* Assisting the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored learning activities
* Encouraging pupil engagement, emotional well-being, and independence
* Using structured systems such as PECS, Makaton, and visual timetables
* Supporting children with behaviour regulation and applying consistent strategies
* Collaborating with teaching staff, therapists, SENCo, and parents
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
* Has at least 1 year of experience supporting children with SEN (school-based or equivalent)
* Is calm, empathetic, and resilient when managing challenging behaviour
* Communicates effectively and works well within a team
* Demonstrates patience, flexibility, and commitment to inclusive education
* Ideally has knowledge or training in Autism, Team Teach, Makaton, or safeguarding (desirable but not essential)
