About the role
This Intervention Teaching Assistant position is based in a friendly and inclusive primary school in Hackney and is available for an immediate start. Your role will involve working with small groups and individual pupils who need extra support with core subjects such as literacy and numeracy.
You will follow planned intervention programmes and work closely with class teachers and the SEN team to track pupil progress.
The role is ideal for someone patient, organised, and confident supporting pupils with additional needs and playing a key part in helping pupils access learning in a structured and supportive way.
Responsibilities- Work with small groups and individual pupils who need extra support with core subjects such as literacy and numeracy.
- Follow planned intervention programmes and collaborate with class teachers and the SEN team to track pupil progress.
- Help pupils close learning gaps, build confidence, and make steady academic progress.
The school is an Ofsted‑rated 'Good' primary school with a strong focus on inclusion, progress, and pupil wellbeing.
