Pay Rate: £90 - £114 per day

ANZUK Education is currently seeking SEN Primary Teaching Assistants to become part of our team in South West London.

SEN Teaching Assistant
Job Description:
Providing specialist support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Supporting the student with speech and language, attention and listening skills, and emotional regulation
Use different strategies for supporting children with ASD e.g. visual supports, emotional regulation etc.
Collaborate with the class teacher to support the learning and development of the student
Assist in the preparation of learning materials, classroom activities and resources
Encourage active participation and engagement in lessons The Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
Relevant experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), primarily Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an educational setting
Relevant Key Stage 2 classroom experience (either mainstream or specialist setting)
Be familiar with strategies to support children with ASD e.g. visual supports, emotional regulation etc.
Be able to demonstrate patience and empathy when working with children, especially those with special educational needs
The ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from classroom teachers and senior leaders
Must hold a clear Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate
Certification in first aid and CPR (preferred but not required) Benefits of this role:
