• 1:1 Teaching Assistant required for a Secondary PRU in the London Borough of Greenwich
• 1:1 Teaching Assistant to have experience supporting a female student
• 1:1 Teaching Assistant to be available to start ASAP
• 1:1 Teaching Assistant with strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
• 1:1 Teaching Assistant with an enhanced DBS on the update service

• Ability to form a trusting bond with a young female student
• Supporting a female student with complex needs spanning multiple areas of development
• Experience in supporting students with difficulties in processing speed, memory and basic literacy
• Experience in breaking down information using a variety of different methods in order to support learning – ability or willingness to learn how to do this as and when needed, could be in the moment if student experiences difficulty
• Proficient in using multisensory methods and deploying sensory intervention)) when needed
• The ability to recognise when a student needs intervention and the ability to distract/defuse/de‑escalate prior to an event
enables discovery
• Flexible and adaptable
• Strong ability to advocate for the student and use initiative
• Support social interactions as part of the student's ongoing progression
• Staff member to be intuitive and able to learn the student's triggers

This school is a Secondary PRU based in the London Borough of Greenwich, catering for students aged 11‑18. The school provides a structured and supportive environment for pupils with Autism and complex needs and is well‑resourced with specialist staff.
