SEN Teaching Assistant

Start Date:
ASAP - July 2026
Contract:
Full-time, Long-term
Salary: £95-112.90 per day, increasing after 12 weeks
SEN Teaching Assistant
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 5 who requires support when becoming dysregulated.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the child's emotional, social, and academic development.
Monitor student progress and communicate with staff and parents regarding their development.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with additional needs
Strong understanding of SEN, particularly in relation to de-escalation techniques
Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting individual student needs.
