EYFS Nursery Teacher – Join this outstanding independent nursery school in Kensington, London

This independent nursery in Kensington is seeking a passionate and experienced EYFS Specialist Teacher to join their dedicated team from April 2026. This is a part-time, term-time only maternity cover role with the potential to roll forward.

About the Role
• Teach two separate morning Nursery classes (ages 3–5) under the EYFS curriculum.
• Inspire young learners at the very start of their educational journey.
• Create fun, interactive, and engaging lessons that spark curiosity and confidence.
• Work as a team with the Head Teacher and Nursery Nurse of both classes.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
What we are looking for
• PGCE / QTS with a minimum of 3 years’ experience (preferably in Early Years or Reception).
• Calm, creative teaching style with strong classroom management.
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• SENDCo experience is a plus.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
Key Details
•
Hours:
8:00 AM – 1:30 PM, term-time only (occasional evening events)
• Salary: £28,000–£32,000 pro rata (based on qualifications and experience)

Contract:
Fixed Term (20 April 2026 – mid-July 2027), with potential to extend
• Class Size:
Small, focused groups for optimal learning
• Excellent work life balance- the nursery is open for 36 weeks a year instead of 39
weeks a year
