About the RoleLong Term Futures are recruiting a KS2 Teaching Assistant in Hackney to support pupils across Year 5 and Year 6 in a well‑regarded primary school. This long‑term T.A. role will involve classroom support, small group interventions, and 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD and ADHD.
Strong behaviour management is essential, as you will be supporting pupils with focus, emotional regulation, and engagement throughout the school day. This is an ASAP start job, ideal for candidates looking for long‑term stability in primary education.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting teaching and learning across Year 5 and Year 6
- Providing 1:1 and small group SEN support for pupils with ASD and ADHD
- Supporting behaviour management and emotional regulation
- Assisting the class teacher with lessons, routines, and interventions
