£88.98 - £110 per day
Are you passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning? Do you thrive on building meaningful relationships and being the positive influence a child needs to succeed? We are looking for dedicated Behaviour Mentors to work in mainstream primary schools across Bromley.
This is a rewarding, hands‑on role where no two days are the same and where your support can truly change a child's school experience.
Your ImpactAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Work 1:1 or 2:1 with pupils who need extra guidance to manage behaviour, emotions, and social interactions
- Support children to develop confidence, resilience, and positive coping strategies
- Help pupils stay engaged in learning and feel safe, understood, and supported
- Be a consistent, trusted adult who makes school a positive place to be
You may be:
- Based in one school, building strong relationships over time, or
- Working across multiple mainstream primary schools, gaining varied and valuable experience
- Supporting pupils in the classroom, small groups, or during unstructured times
- De‑escalating challenging situations calmly and positively
- Encouraging positive behaviour and celebrating progress, big or small
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
- Helping children develop social skills and emotional regulation
- Individuals with experience working with children or young people (education, youth work, care, mentoring, sports coaching, etc.)
- Calm, patient, and resilient personalities who can stay positive in challenging moments
- Strong communicators who can build trust quickly
- A genuine passion for helping children succeed
- Experience with SEMH, behaviour support, or SEND is a bonus, but not essential
- Make a real, lasting difference in children's lives
- Work in a variety of welcoming mainstream primary schools in Bromley
