Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Overview

Psychology graduates are sought to work in primary schools in East London with ASAP start. Roles include Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant positions supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis and within class settings.

• Provide 1:1 SEN support for pupils with autism (ASD), ADHD, complex needs and social and emotional mental health (SEMH) requirements.
• Support pupils within lessons and, on occasions, outside the classroom in interventions, including some speech and language therapy depending on pupil needs.
• Help pupils focus in lessons and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with school staff to build rapport with students and provide consistent support throughout the academic year.

• Psychology graduates with an interest in education and a desire to pursue further study in educational or clinical psychology.
• Pro-active, reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning.
• Experience or interest in SEN and supporting diverse learners is advantageous.
