We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, self-motivated, highly organised, and experienced Rugby professional to work within our busy and thriving Games Department.

It is essential that applicants are able to deliver Rugby to a high level and will be working with the most able rugby players in the school. The successful candidate will hold a minimum Level 3 or better RFU / IRB coaching qualification, will have a high level (National League 1 and above) coaching and / or playing experience, as well as experience of the RFU elite pathways.

The ability to coach backs to a high level will be an advantage. The successful candidate would also be expected to deliver Cricket during the Summer Term and so experience of this sport would be an advantage.

Interviews will take place as and when we receive applications. Early applications are encouraged, and we reserve the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

The safeguarding responsibilities of the post include:

  • child protection, discipline, health and safety
  • promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
