The Role and ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a caring and dedicated EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs within our Early Years setting. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers, the SENCo and other professionals to help pupils access learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
- Supporting children's learning, development and emotional wellbeing
- Assisting with the implementation of individual support plans and interventions
- Encouraging positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom
- Supporting pupils with personal care where required
- Contributing to observations, assessments and record keeping
- Upholding the Christian ethos and values of the school
We are looking for someone who is patient, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting young children with additional needs.
You will ideally- Have experience working with children in EYFS, particularly those with SEN
- Be caring, calm and able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Show initiative and be able to work effectively as part of a team
- Have good communication skills and a flexible approach
- Be committed to inclusion and safeguarding
- Support and respect the ethos of a Church of England school
As part of our registration process, you'll need an enhanced DBS check and we'll need to see and copy your original qualifications before any placement. Teaching roles require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
