Position: Teaching Assistant (Temporary)
Location: Putney

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Putney. This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping them to achieve their full potential in a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities

Provide 1:1 or small group support where required

Assist pupils with learning, engagement, and behaviour

Support children with SEND, where applicable

Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

Supervise pupils during lessons, playtimes, and transitions

Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

Requirements

Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting

A positive, patient, and proactive attitude

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to support children with varying learning needs

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience supporting pupils with SEND

Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification

Knowledge of the primary curriculum
