Year 1 Teacher

A friendly and welcoming primary school in Islington is seeking an experienced Year 1 Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified teacher to make a real impact in the classroom and support a smooth transition for children during the upcoming handover period in December.

We are looking for a QTS-qualified teacher with strong experience teaching KS1
, particularly Year 1, who is passionate about delivering high-quality learning experiences. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting children s academic and personal development, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.

Start Date: January 2026
Interviews and trials will be held immediately to ensure a seamless handover in December.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Significant experience teaching Year 1 / KS1 in a primary school
• Strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum
• Ability to create a stimulating, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

• Recruitment of a skilled and committed Year 1 teacher ready for a January 2026 start
• Support for smooth handover days in December
• A teacher confident in KS1 who can maintain continuity for children s learning
