Overview
We are working with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) college in South Norwood seeking a committed and confident Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team full-time from September 2025.
Location:
South Norwood, London
Contract:
Academic Year - 05/09/2025 to 17/07/2026 (with the view to go permanent)
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 3:30pm
Pay: £100 - £110 per day (PAYE)
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
- Implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively
- Work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to promote a positive learning environment
- Build trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress
- Support students in developing social, emotional, and life skills
- Previous experience supporting young people with SEMH or similar behavioural needs
- Confident, consistent, and calm approach to managing challenging situations
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
- Resilient, reliable, and committed to inclusive education
- A genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential
