Remedy Education are working with a welcoming and nurturing Primary School in Newham. We are looking for a passionate general Teaching Assistant to support a range of children in Ks2 in a full class, 1‑1 and small intervention basis. This opportunity bodes fantastic training and professional development opportunities and the chance to play a key part in helping pupils prepare to transition to secondary school.

• Aid the class teacher in controlling classroom behaviour and ensuring that pupils remain on task
• Assist the class teacher in planning engaging lessons and activities and implementing these into small‑group and 1‑1 support
• Promote inclusion and support pupils with individual needs/capabilities and additional needs
• Support pupils in with SATS preparation and in their upcoming transition from primary to secondary education

• Experience working with children or young people in a school, sports, care, residential support, youth work, mental health, or community setting
• Must possess good literacy and numeracy skills
• The ability to foster positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
