Examiner – GCE A Level – Portuguese (2018 Specification)

Join Pearson as an Examiner for the GCE Portuguese (2018 Specification) subject. Mark candidates’ responses in accordance with the pre‑defined mark scheme, adhering to recognition and examination procedures. Most marking will be done on screen using ePEN from home; a few scripts will be marked via traditional paper.

• Mark accurately and consistently to maintain overall standards.
• Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times.
• Adhere to milestones for marking.
• Complete all administration as specified.

• Degree or equivalent.
• Qualified teacher, accepting UK and overseas qualifications.
• Minimum of 5 months part‑time teaching experience of the relevant qualification and subject, within the last 10 years, obtained in the UK.
• Applicants without teaching experience but with assessment experience with a recognised UK exam board within the last 5 years will be considered, provided the experience is relevant to the qualification and subject.

• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.

• Marking period:
  May – July.
• Training period:
  May – June.
