Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Lecturer to teach as part of the HND in Digital Technologies for England (Cyber Security) programme. Flexibility is key; evening and weekend work is not currently required but may evolve.

Responsibilities
  • Planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
  • Developing, updating, and improving course materials.
  • Using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials.
  • Actively engaging in staff development, peer observations, meetings and administrative duties.
  • Staying current with latest developments in your field and student support practices.
  • Working towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction, and progression.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PGCHE, MA in HE Practice, FHEA, etc. desirable).
  • Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
  • Extensive knowledge of two or more of the following areas:
  • Programming and software development
  • Web development and digital marketing
  • Database systems
  • Cloud computing
  • Networking and cybersecurity
  • IoT and emerging technologies
  • Business analysis and digital transformation
  • Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
  • Accurate reporting and maintaining thorough student records.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan and prioritise workload.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
