About the Role
A Visiting Examiner – GCSE Drama (2016 Specification) at Pearson is responsible for marking candidates' performance by visiting centres and ensuring overall standards are maintained.
Centre visits involve marking written work, conducting and marking oral examinations, and observing practical assessments. Visits are scheduled in agreement with each centre.

- Visit centres and mark the performance of candidates in accordance with published marking criteria and procedures, ensuring overall standards are maintained.
- Report any difficulties encountered during the assessment to Pearson.
- Undertake an agreed allocation of local centres.
- Submit written reports to the Chief Examiner and/or Team Leaders.
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Qualified teacher.
- At least one academic year (full‑time or part‑time) of teaching experience:
- Within the last eight years.
- Within the relevant qualification and subject.
- Since qualifying as a teacher.
- High level of subject knowledge to apply the marking scheme.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- IT literate.
