Examiner - GCE A Level - Statistics (2017 specification)

Apply for the Examiner role  will mark candidates’ responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, adhering to conditions of recognition and examination procedures. Marking will be conducted primarily online using ePEN from home, with a few scripts handled by traditional paper methods, sent through the post. A high level of subject knowledge is required to apply the mark scheme. Each examiner will receive an agreed allocation of scripts.

• Mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained.
• Submit sample scripts to your Team Leader at designated times.
• Adhere to milestones for marking.
• Complete all specified administrative tasks.

• One academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, within the relevant qualification subject, and since qualifying as a teacher.
• A degree or equivalent qualification.
• Qualified teacher status.

• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.

• The marking period is between May and July.
• The training required to mark as an examiner takes place between May and June.
