- £55,000 per annum
- Full‑time, Permanent (40 hours per week)

Role OverviewWe are currently seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BSc (Hons) Computing programme. Due to our delivery model, flexibility is required to teach during weekdays, evenings and weekends. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities- Plan, deliver, and assess student work ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
- Develop, update, and improve course materials.
- Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials.
- Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings, and other administrative duties.
- Keep up to date with latest developments in the field and student support practices.
- Work towards clear objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction, and progression.
- Master's degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
- Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the broader subject area.
- Extensive knowledge of at least two of the following areas:
- Programming and software development
- Web development
- Database systems
- Cloud computing
- Networking
- Cybersecurity
- IoT and emerging technologies
- Business IT systems
- IT management
- AI and Machine Learning
- Operating systems
- UI/UX
- Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.
- Accurate reporting and maintenance of thorough student records.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team‑working skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
- Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification, or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years.
- Experience in design/development of academic or professional education programmes.
- 25 days annual leave, plus 8 public holidays.
- 1‑day extra leave per year of service, up to a maximum of 5 days.
