Overview
Halfpenny London is looking for a Bridalwear Production Garment Technologist & QC to join the team in Canonbury, London. Working with the finest details of our bridal gowns, corsetry, and accessories, the Garment Technologist & QC will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our products meet their exceptional quality requirements to guarantee customer satisfaction. The Garment Technologist & QC will ensure every Tech Pack is a blueprint for perfection and support the Quality Control team by visiting manufacturers and verifying that every gown is measured before client delivery.
By bridging the gap between the Atelier and Production, the Garment Technologist & QC will ensure our designs are industrialised promptly without ever sacrificing the luxury finish for which Halfpenny London is known.
- Technical Execution & Tech Packs: Build tech packs to ensure a high standard of make across all garments in line with brand standards.
- Measure garments and input data into Tech Packs with high-level clarity, collating fitting notes and detailed construction notes.
- Work with the finest materials, including tulle, chiffon, silk, lace, beading, and couture corsetry garments.
- Quality Control & Standards: Ensure every gown is measured ahead of client delivery.
- Support the Quality Control team by visiting manufacturers during peak season.
- Contribute to building the Halfpenny quality standard manuals in collaboration with the Technical team to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Collaboration: Communicate continuously with Seamstresses, Garment Technologists, and Production teams to adhere to the Critical Path and internal trackers.
- A Degree in Fashion Technology, Pattern Cutting, or Tailoring.
- A minimum of 2 years' industry experience within a Garment Technology role in luxury fashion, bridal wear, or high-end womenswear.
- Experience working with the finest materials, including tulle, chiffon, silk, lace, beading, and couture corsetry garments.
- A strong understanding of RTW/Bridalwear garment construction, sewing finishings, and machining techniques.
- Proficient IT skills, including Zedonk, Gmail, Google Sheets, and Illustrator.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented; passionate about precision, heritage craftsmanship, and design integrity.
- A positive "can-do" attitude with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A background in dressmaking or professional pattern cutting is a plus.
