Filming for Humanity (FFH) produces impactful educational films, and we’re seeking a Production Supervisor to help bring our biggest film project to life. If you love film, creativity, and purpose, we’d love you to join our team.

What difference will you make?

You will play a central role in coordinating casting, legal compliance, financial processes, and collaboration with the Location Manager and storyboard team to ensure a smooth production. Your leadership will strengthen our production process, elevate creative output, and help our film inspire communities.

Key responsibilities
  • Oversee casting calls, auditions, and selections for actors and extras.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Legal & Governance to review contracts, consent forms, and onboarding documentation.
  • Coordinate payment schedules, track budgets, and support financial transparency with the Treasurer.
  • Work with the Location Manager and storyboard team to align talent, locations, and scenes during pre‑production.
  • Maintain clear organization of assets, schedules, and casting records.
Essential skills and experience
  • Experience in production coordination, supervising, or casting (film, TV, theatre, or creative projects).
  • Confidence managing recruitment and working with actors, extras, and creative teams.
  • Experience collaborating with legal teams on contracts and onboarding.
  • Ability to manage timelines, logistics, and multiple moving parts with calm and clarity.
  • Comfortable working with budgets and liaising with the Treasurer on payments.
  • Understanding of pre‑production workflows, storyboards, and shoot preparation.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to bring people together.
Personal qualities we value
  • A positive, encouraging attitude.
  • Strong leadership with kindness and diplomacy.
  • Detail‑oriented but flexible and solution‑driven.
  • Passion for storytelling and social‑impact films.
  • Ability to stay grounded during busy or high‑pressure phases.
Lived experience that would be beneficial
  • Experience working with diverse casts and crews.
  • Previous involvement in socially impactful or educational film projects.
  • Understanding of community stories or social themes reflected in our films.
What will you be doing?

You will support the casting and coordination of one of Filming for Humanity’s most ambitious film projects to date. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee casting and ensure we secure the strongest possible actors and extras for each role.

Your role will also involve supporting our Location Manager and working with the storyboard team to ensure cast, locations, and scenes align smoothly during pre‑production.

This hands‑on role requires confidence, initiative, and a positive, “let’s get it done” mindset. You will be the connective force between our creative, administrative, and operational teams, ensuring everyone stays informed, supported, and aligned.

Key priorities
  • Managing casting calls, shortlists, auditions, and selections.
  • Coordinating communication with actors, extras, and agencies.
  • Ensuring all contracts and documentation are completed accurately.
  • Supporting recruitment across key production roles.
  • Liaising with the Treasurer on payments and cast expenses.
  • Collaborating with the Location Manager on logistical planning.
  • Working with the storyboard team to align talent and scenes.
  • Maintaining clear organisation of assets, schedules, and casting records.
Is this a good fit?

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves film, values teamwork, and wants to play a central role in building a meaningful project from the ground up.
