SEN Teaching Assistant — 1:1 support in Year 1 with a child with SEMH
The RoleWorking in Year 1, you will be supporting a child with SEMH who has experienced trauma. The child follows an individualized timetable with frequent movement breaks between tasks. They can display challenging behaviour when dysregulated; training will be given to manage this. The school is looking for someone reliable who can commit to five days a week to give the child consistency, and who has initiative and the ability to use a range of strategies to engage and redirect the child to positive choices.
You should maintain clear expectations while adopting a positive approach.

Requirements- Experience as a Teaching Assistant
- Ability to support a child with SEMH/trauma; training will be provided
