Deputy Manager - Residential Children's Home (EBD)

📍 Enfield
💷 £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
🕘 Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm + On-Call Duties

We are recruiting an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join a high-quality solo occupancy residential children's home, alongside supporting a respite service, for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Residential Support Worker or existing Deputy Manager looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive and well-structured service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the home and respite service
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise staff to deliver high‑quality, child‑centred care
  • Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and records are maintained to a high standard
  • Promote positive outcomes for young people through consistent, trauma‑informed practice
  • Take responsibility for safeguarding, compliance, and Ofsted standards
  • Participate in the on‑call rota and provide leadership during out‑of‑hours situations
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (Level 5 desirable or willingness to work towards)
  • Previous experience in a residential children's home, ideally with EBD
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding, legislation, and Ofsted requirements
  • A resilient, calm, and child‑focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
