• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all nursery areas, including playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
• Carrying out daily cleaning routines, including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising.
• Restocking cleaning and hygiene supplies and notifying management when orders are needed.
• Supporting with laundry and linen changes as required.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety and infection control standards.
• Helping keep our nursery environments warm, tidy, and welcoming.
• Working closely with the wider team to uphold our high cleanliness standards.
• Following all relevant policies and procedures for safeguarding and safety.

• Previous experience in a housekeeping, cleaning, or facilities role.
• A proactive and reliable approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
• Understanding of basic health & safety and COSHH guidelines (training provided if needed).
• A warm, friendly attitude and team spirit – you’ll be a key part of the nursery community.
• A willingness to complete any necessary training.

Our nursery has 98 places and is located in Balham, South‑West London. Getting here is a breeze with local buses 50, 355, and 57 and the Clapham South and Balham overground/underground stations just a short stroll away.

Please note the hours for this role are Monday‑Friday, 12pm‑9pm
