Location: City Of London
The Direct Client Partner is responsible for developing and scaling strategic commercial partnerships with medium to large businesses that drive revenue and long-term growth for the company. The role will own the partnerships strategy, from prospecting and proposition development through to negotiation, delivery, and optimization, whilst adhering to wider JCDecaux policy and ethics.

Head of Commercial – Business Growth
- Define and own the partnerships strategy focused on medium to large enterprises across priority sectors (e.g. retail, FMCG, travel, finance, tech, entertainment).
- Develop partners revenue within the range of 250K - £1m with no upper limit.
- Set clear targets (revenue, margin, retention, pipeline) and build a roadmap of strategic accounts and categories.
- Mentor others on partnership offerings; foster a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Data/Insights, and Operations to create integrated, scalable partnership propositions.
- Include a programmatic narrative to support traditional OOH with each partner.
- Identify and prioritise target partners that align with our audience, inventory, and strategic goals.
- Lead high-level outreach, pitch development, and senior-stakeholder engagement (C-suite, CMOs, Heads of Marketing, Media/Brand Directors, Partnership Directors).
- Build multi-year, high-value relationships, becoming a trusted advisor on advertising, media effectiveness, and customer engagement.
- Develop and manage robust account plans, including joint business plans, co-marketing initiatives, and innovation roadmaps.
- Own the full commercial cycle: qualification, proposal, pricing, negotiation, contract closure, and renewal.
- Structure mutually beneficial partnership models (e.g. annual media commitments, long-term strategic agreements, sponsor ships, co-branded initiatives, data/insight partnerships).
- Work with Finance and Legal to ensure deals are commercially sound and compliant with internal policies and regulations.
- Track and report on partnership forecasting, and performance against commercial KPIs.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product to design compelling, insight-led partnership propositions and packages tailored to medium–large businesses.
- Use audience, performance, and market data to evidence the impact of our advertising solutions and drive upsell/cross-sell.
- Lead the creation and delivery of high-impact presentations, proposals, and case studies.
- Champion the voice of the partner internally; feed market insight back into product and service development.
- Define KPIs and success metrics for all partnerships (revenue, renewal, campaign performance, brand outcomes).
- Oversee campaign and partnership performance reviews, ensuring insights are translated into clear recommendations.
- Produce regular reporting for senior leadership on pipeline, performance, risks, and opportunities.
Ability to communicate plans, ideas and solutions.
- Consistently deliver the best results for advertisers by understanding and matching their objectives with the most appropriate JCDecaux media solution.
- Confident relationship builder and networker in this market at all levels of business, attending events, conferences and creating opportunities through thought leadership.
- Experience of senior external and internal partner management.
- Natural leader and strong influencer.
- Role model, accurately forecasting weekly revenues, working closely with other business growth teams, internal departments and management teams to meet these revenue commitments.
- Inspire discussions and presentations and have the personality to deliver these, bringing new clients to digital out-of-home.
