About the Client
Our client is a well-established UK-based digital distribution and label services company representing thousands of artists and labels worldwide. As part of their continued growth, they are launching a dedicated Publishing and Neighbouring Rights division to deliver end-to-end rights administration, royalty collection, and income optimisation services.
Responsibilities- Register works and sound recordings with collecting societies and neighbouring rights organisations
- Maintain accurate writer/publisher splits, ISRCs, and metadata
- Process and audit royalty statements, resolving missing, disputed, or conflicting claims
- Manage sync, mechanical, and master use licensing requests, and help build a sync licensing contact network
- Liaise with writers, labels, sub-publishers, and societies to resolve rights queries
- Oversee catalogue ingestion and ongoing metadata management
- Onboard existing clients to the new publishing and neighbouring rights services
- Identify opportunities within the existing client base and support proposals, documentation, and CRM record-keeping
- Contribute ideas to marketing materials and client communications
- Collaborate with the wider team to support growth and service development
- Minimum 3 years' experience in music publishing at a mid or large publisher
- Strong understanding of music copyright, rights collection, and licensing
- Experience working with PRS, MCPS, and ideally international collecting societies
- High level of accuracy and organisation; confident using spreadsheets and royalty systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive and comfortable balancing administrative and client-facing responsibilities
- Experience with You Tube CMS or other rights management tools
- Knowledge of sync licensing, metadata standards, or international sub-publishing
- Background in client onboarding, account management, or sales support within music or rights management
- Competitive salary (£32,000-£45,000 depending on experience)
