As a Freelance Staffing Manager with KERB Events, you’ll be responsible for the coordination, management, and welfare of all agency and contract staff working on site during events. Acting as the main on-site point of contact for staffing agencies and on-site teams, you’ll ensure rotas are delivered effectively, timesheets are accurate, and staff are supported throughout the event lifecycle. This is a highly people-focused role requiring strong organisation, clear communication, and the ability to manage staffing operations in a fast-paced, live event environment.
What you’ll be doing- Acting as the primary on-site liaison for all agency and freelance staff
- Managing staff rotas to ensure all areas are adequately resourced at all times
- Coordinating staff check-in, briefings, and deployment across event sites
- Handling staff queries related to shifts, breaks, welfare, and general concerns
- Overseeing staff welfare, including breaks, facilities, and wellbeing support
- Managing and approving timesheets, ensuring accuracy for payroll and invoicing
- Communicating schedule changes clearly and efficiently to staff and agencies
- Liaising with event operations, traders, bar managers, and security teams
- Supporting incident management and escalating issues where appropriate
- Assisting with post-event staffing reporting and feedback
- Proven experience managing staffing operations within events, hospitality, or event environments
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with rotas and timesheet management
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and approachable under pressure
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Experience using Planday or a similar staffing software
- Full & clean UK driving license
- Knowledge or training of staff welfare best practices in live event settings
