A wonderful opportunity for an experienced and proactive Head Housekeeper to join a high-profile private household in Belgravia, London.

The principals are seeking a polished, hands-on professional who can take ownership of the daily running of the home, ensuring exceptional standards and smooth coordination across all areas of household operations.

You’ll be joining a respectful and well-structured household with clear systems and an established team. The environment is busy but supportive, offering a long-term opportunity for the right candidate who thrives in a dynamic, service-driven role.

The ideal candidate will have a private household and/or a yachting background, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be organised and proactive and calm under pressure. A candidate who holds a driving license is strongly preferred due to running errands and occasional deliveries to the family’s Surrey residence.

Interviewing/trialling now for an immediate start.

Duties and responsibilities;

  • Act as the main point of contact for the principals, managing daily household requests and communication.
  • Oversee groceries and household provisioning, maintaining stock and managing purchases.
  • Handle light administrative duties including expenses, staff rotas, household budgeting and operational coordination.
  • Liaise confidently with chefs, gardeners, contractors, and security staff.
  • Provide hands‑on leadership for a small housekeeping team, supporting and guiding them day to day.
  • Ensure an immaculate standard of cleaning and presentation throughout the property.
  • Assist with preparations and logistics for the move to a larger nearby property in spring 2026.
  • Be available for occasional weekend support as required.

To be considered for this role you must;

  • Have 5+ years of experience working as a Housekeeper/Head Housekeeper within a private household setting
  • Have excellent contactable references
  • Hold the rights to work within the UK
  • Possess (be willing to obtain) an up‑to‑date DBS certificate
