Category Manager

We are partnering with a leading housing organisation to recruit an experienced Category Manager to join their high-performing procurement team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded professional to take ownership of strategic sourcing and category management across a varied and high-impact portfolio.

Please note this is a 12-month contract initially and offers flexible working with 1-2 days a week in the London Office.

• Develop and deliver effective procurement and category strategies to ensure value for money
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to drive performance and innovation
• Conduct market research and analysis to inform sourcing decisions
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
• Provide management information on category spend and procurement efficiencies
• Lead continuous improvement and ensure best practise procurement across the organisation

• Proven experience applying Public Contracts Regulations to end-to-end procurement
• Track record of delivering complex, high-value procurement solutions
• Experience in technology-related procurement and contract management
• Excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency
• CIPS qualification (or studying towards)
