Position: Front of House Receptionist to £35,000
Location: City Of London

Location: City / St Paul's, London

Hours: 08:30 - 16:30, Monday to Friday

Our client, a leading professional services firm located in the heart of the City, is seeking a Front of House Receptionist to join their friendly and professional team. This is a varied and highly client-facing role, working closely with the Office Manager to ensure the smooth running of the front‑of‑house function and to deliver a first‑class experience for clients and visitors.

The successful candidate will be well‑presented, confident, and personable, with excellent communication and organisational skills. A proactive and flexible approach is essential, along with the ability to maintain a calm and professional manner in a busy office environment. Previous experience within a professional services or corporate office environment would be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a professional and welcoming front‑of‑house service, acting as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and external guests.
  • Meet and greet visitors, notify hosts of client arrivals, and offer refreshments where appropriate.
  • Deliver an exceptional standard of client service while maintaining a friendly, professional, and cooperative approach.
  • Manage meeting room bookings and coordinate both in‑person and virtual meetings, including scheduling, preparing materials, arranging IT and AV setup, organising refreshments, and preparing and clearing meeting rooms.
  • Answer and manage incoming calls via the switchboard in a professional and efficient manner, taking ownership of enquiries and ensuring they are handled promptly.
  • Assist with the coordination and organisation of internal and external events, ensuring they are delivered smoothly and within agreed budgets.
  • Build positive working relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, clients, and external visitors.
  • Support the Office Manager with general administrative and front‑of‑house duties as required.
