A highly regarded UK and European firm of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys is seeking a skilled Formalities Administrator to join their dynamic Formalities Department in London. In this full-time role, you will be central to managing essential administrative functions that support the firm’s success, collaborating with talented professionals and contributing to cutting-edge IP work.
WhatYou’ll Do
You’ll support the Formalities Department by monitoring email inboxes, managing deadlines, liaising confidently with clients and fee earners, and preparing critical documents for patent and trade mark filings. Depending on your team, your tasks will include processing new orders, handling international patent filings, managing renewals, and maintaining detailed records. Your efforts will help ensure the smooth operation of formalities processes that underpin the legal team’s productivity.
WhatWe Require
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an intellectual property firm
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong literacy skills
- Confident communication and excellent organizational abilities
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
- A team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt
- CIPA qualification or similar legal qualifications
- Previous experience maintaining high-accuracy records
- Flexibility to work extra hours when needed
- Proven track record in IP formalities or administrative support within a legal or patent environment
