Position: Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - $2,441 to $2,515 per week in Central Falls, RI

Overview

School Psychologist (PSY) - School.

Location:

Central Falls, RI.

Contract:

13 weeks.

Start Date:

ASAP. Pay: $2,441 to $2,515 per week. Shift: Days, 5 days x 7 hours.

Responsibilities
  • Provide counseling to students on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and to the regular student population (treating mood disorders, autism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, social skill deficits, conduct disorders) to foster positive coping strategies, motivation, and skill development.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students’ needs and strengths.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 Plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional and behavioral issues.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create supportive learning environments.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support for students and staff as needed.
  • Coordinate outreach activities that support students and families including pediatricians, outside counseling agencies, and agencies such as DCF, DMH, etc.
Qualifications
  • Master’s or Doctoral Degree in School Psychology.
  • State Certification and/or Licensure as a School Psychologist.
  • Experience working in a School Setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and behavioral interventions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members.
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and techniques used in school and educational settings.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
